Why Wool?

Wool is a natural insulator that responds effectively to changes in body temperature and the surrounding environment. When used in bedding, pillows, duvets, and mattress toppers, it helps maintain comfort by keeping users cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The tightly packed wool fibers create small pockets of air, allowing for moisture absorption, moisture release, and breathability.

British Quality

We take pride in sourcing our wool from audited and assured farms across the UK, which guarantees ethical and sustainable practices in sheep farming. After the wool is meticulously scoured (cleaned) in Yorkshire, it undergoes a careful process to prepare it for use. The clean, high-quality fibers then journey over the scenic Pennines, where they are transformed into our wool pillow ranges here in Lancashire. This dedication to provenance and craftsmanship not only enhances the quality of our products but also supports local agriculture and the rich heritage of British wool production.

Odour Resistant...

Wool has the remarkable ability to absorb moisture, including sweat, and release it into the air before bacteria can develop and produce unpleasant odors. This natural moisture-wicking property keeps you dry and comfortable, making wool an excellent choice for bedding and pillows.

Naturally Renewable...

Each year, sheep naturally produce a new fleece, making wool a sustainable and renewable resource. This annual shearing process allows sheep to thrive while providing high-quality wool for various uses, supporting eco-friendly practices in the textile industry.

Biodegradable...

Wool is an eco-friendly material that can decompose in just 3 to 4 months, returning essential nutrients to the earth. This natural biodegradability ensures that wool products enrich the soil at the end of their life cycle, making it a sustainable choice.

Don’t just take our word for it - Since 2010 King Charles, has been the patron of the Campaign for Wool (a global initiative to promote the use of wool) states “textiles and clothing are produced sustainably, enjoy long use, and are made using natural materials, specifically wool, which will biodegrade naturally and quickly at the end of their useful life"
